Ilvy Jacobs - Paper brachelets

Ilvy Jacobs heeft een prachtig herdenkings sierraad ontworpen: 

"Ik ben in Arnhem geboren en getogen en mijn opa heeft in de tweede wereld oorlog gevochten op de Grebbenberg in Arnhem voor onze vrijheid. Op de armbanden zijn landende parachutisten in Arnhem te zien tijdens de oorlog. Het idee achter dit product is dat we wat vaker stil moeten staan bij de slag om Arnhem en alles wat daar is gebeurt. Het papier heeft een mooie tactiele uitstraling en door het gebruik neemt de schoonheid toe.

Parachutisten landen bij Arnhem
Behalve materiaal werden er door de lucht ook manschappen aangevoerd. De eerste parachutisten, op hen rustte de zware taak snel in de stad door te dringen en zich van de brug meester te maken. Ze hebben de brug bereikt maar toen de hulp uitbleef moesten ze tenslotte de strijd staken."

"I was born and raised in Arnhem and my grandfather in World War II fought on the Grebbenberg in Arnhem for our freedom. The bracelets are parachutists landing in Arnhem during the war. The idea behind this product is that we more often required to stand still at the battle of Arnhem and everything that is happened there. The paper has a nice tactile feel and use, by use the beauty increases.

Besides material were also troops landed by air. The first paratroopers, the heavy responsibility rested upon them quickly to penetrate the city and away from the bridge to capture. They reached the bridge but when the help was forthcoming they had finally to retire."
